The Woodbury Merchant & Professional Association was founded in 1937 and was incorporated in 1990. In 1996, we applied for and were approved as a 501-C6 non-profit. WMPA provides our merchants a voice with City Government, not only for those located downtown, but also for businesses all over Woodbury.

We intercede in local, county and/or state legislation when necessary. We recently offered our support to prohibit inappropriate businesses in the local shopping district and also worked diligently to alleviate restrictions on sidewalk table seats. We are proud sponsors of the Engraved Brick Program, which has paid for many improvements like the Christmas and summer pole banners.

As members, we pride ourselves on innovative promotional strategies for the community, as well as local businesses. One recent success was our summer sidewalk sale. We encourage all members to participate in the development of original programs. Therefore, all members contribute to the success of our businesses and our association!
