We are the voice of the business community and work to communicate the wishes and needs of our members.
We intercede in local, county and/or state legislation when necessary. For example, we actively support the first-floor ordinance which reserves first-floor properties in the downtown shopping area for established retail space.
As members, we pride ourselves on innovative promotional strategies for the community as well as local businesses. We encourage all members to participate in the development of original programs. Therefore, all members contribute to the success of our businesses and our association.
We have a joint advertising agreement with the Gloucester County Times and are working on a similar agreement with the Courier-Post. This enables members to advertise their businesses at a reduced cost.
As a member, you will be able to advertise your business with a 250-word description on our web site.
We sponsor the Engraved Brick Program, Pasta Party, the Car Show, the Santa Parade and his stay at the gazebo.
We work with the Main Street program on their events such as the Block Party, Candlelight Shopping, Colonial Days and Lunch Munch.
We help sponsor events by contributing essentials such as street banners, decorations and carriage rides among other things. Our contributions help promote the desirable community image we all wish to achieve.
We are in contact with the Greater Woodbury Chamber of Commerce, the police department and both city and county governments to work toward the betterment of the city, and the business district.
We give a scholarship every year to a deserving student at Woodbury High School.
